System software is licensed to La Cie from Apple Computer Inc. for distribution with this product in order to provide you with a completely functional disk drive. No formatting, initializing or software installation is required.
Please read the "Read Me Ñ System 6 or 7?" file for information to configure your drive so it will boot System 6 or System 7.
The System Folder on your La Cie drive is set up to work with any Macintosh, but it may not have all the options that you would like to use, such as other printer drivers or control panel devices, i.e. : 'Appletalk Imagewriter' or 'Map'. Disk images of the complete Apple system software disks are in the System Disk Images folder, along with a copy of DiskCopy so that you can create floppy disks from the image files. Refer to the Disk Image Directions document on the disk for instructions to use these image files, and the Apple System Software Users Guide for installing and configuring new system software.
